IEEC 2010: Action In Enterprise Education

This year, Enterprise Educators UK and NCGE are delighted to announce that the IEEC 2010 will take place at Cardiff University from the 1st-3rd September, with the support and sponsorship of the Welsh Assembly Government. The theme will be 'Action in Enterprise Education'.

Last year's International Entrepreneurship Educators Conference held at the Edinburgh Conference Centre at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh from 2nd-4th September. The Principal Sponsor for IEEC 2009 was Informatics Ventures at the University of Edinburgh.

The Conference theme for 2009 was ‘Advancing Enterprise Education’. Within that, there were several broad themes: 'raising awareness', 'enterprise in context: teaching methods', 'pollcy in action' and 'pathways for learning'.

This year saw more educator sessions than ever before – over 40 interactive workshops and papers showcasing enterprise education across the UK, Europe and China.

Exhibitors included SIMVENTURE; Speakeasy4Schools; NACUE & EPIGEUM; Stock Market Challenge.


The Gala Dinner included the presentation of the 1st Annual Enterprise Educator Awards with the Red Hot Chilli Pipers as entertainment for the night.
